I'm looking for some suggestions. I am trying to get a 10000 3DMark2001 score on my computer. Upgrading isn't an option here, because my point is to try to get 10000 out of THIS computer. I have run the BM with all the extra crap disabled/turned off in windows. I am using Rage3D Tweak and run the tests on the 3dMark2001 profile, I checked most of them and it is in fact the one which nets the highest score.

Here's some more details about what's OCed:

AthlonXP 2000+ T-BredB @ 12.5x166 = 2088MHz
Sapphire Radeon 8500LE 64MB @ 306/282 (core/mem)
1024MB Micron PC2700 - Timings 2-3-3-6 best I could get.

I'll appreciate any help.

i think the main thing is your vid card. i barely got passed 10k in 3d mark01se, but its cause of the 9500 pro, and i even have a kt133a chipset thats old

Both the VC and CPU are maxed out. Any higher on each and I get some instability. The temps are good though 42 C for the CPU and I don't know what the VC temp is.

Try dropping you're RAM timings to 2-2-2-6. If you have to, up the Dimm voltage to 2.7. I know that my Crucial (Micron) likes that voltage at 166. I've currently got it running at 160 with 2.9. If I dropped it to 2.63 my rig would be unstable. I'm not sure about 2.7, cause I haven't really tried it.
Defragging your hard drive will probably help. Or, reformat with a fresh copy of win 2000 or win 98, cause they perform the best

A freshly reformatted computer will always benchmark faster. Go into your video card settings and change the image quality from high quality, to performance. That alone may get your the 150 more pts. you need.

Another suggestion Colin has given me was to try it on Win2000Pro (if you have that OS available). Have you tried dropping your multiplier and increasing your FSB? Colin also told me that Dragothic (game 2) loves a higher FSB.
Very simple, pencel mod your Radeon 8500 for more voltage so you can overclock higher!!!

You can kill your card if you apply too much voltage without enough cooling so only do it if you're certain you can find a way to cool the videocard.
