Hi, I'm from Argentina!
I'm a newbie at overclocking but testing it I've reached 2400mhz 400fsb with my Xp2600! a really good overclock for a newbie I think.
The problem is that I was kind of scared at 1.85vcore 45-50°C so I play with the overclock a while and then return it to the stock speed... but a few days later I was trying to overclock it again to reach more than 400FSB but my system wont overclock anymore! I can't even run 166*13 (166*12.5 Its the stock speed) or 167*12.5! I don't know what can it be... my mobo its a Abit NF7-M with a 2600+... Help me! The BIOS (1.2 V20) reset after saving all the changes that I made!

Thanks! sorry for my english.

Welcome to PCStats Solu!
Nothing wrong with your English. You have better grammar than a lot of the natives posting around here. LOL!
That's a pretty impressive OC for the 2600+. Did you run Prime95 without errors at that speed?
Nothing wrong with a 1.85v on the core, as long as you have a decent cooler.
Did you adjust your RAM timings to be more aggressive between the time it was OCed and now? Have you tried relaxing the RAM timings? What voltage are you trying to boot the system at now?

Hi!
Nope... I don't know what's prime95 hehe ... but I used my 2600+ at 1.9vcore +-2500mhz 333fsb stable... and I played medal of honor with that speed @ 55°C
I was looking at my setup... I think that my 2600+ is resisting to unlock, because I've changed only the parameter that says somthing like "stock or overclocked settings" (I dont remember the exacts words) and the bios reset with 166*12.5!

(timings at 7 3 3 2.5) i use them at 5 2 2 2 but to test why I cant overclock i've raised them

The BIOS probably reset to 12*166 because whatever setting you were trying to use was not stable enough to post.
Prime95 is freeware that does a very good job of testing the actual stability of your system. When you have it installed on your system you can run a "Torture Test" in their Options menu. This testing involves massive calculations that will prove instability if your set-up does not finish with an expected answer/outcome. Usually if a system is unstable the test will error out within 25 calculations.
Hi! well I've already tested all the settings you can imagine. I found that my BIOS resets only when I change "CPU Interface" it's disable but when I turn it to enable and save my settings (with all the bios at default, stock speed, stock memory) the BIOS resets again. Maybe the mobo can't unlock the processor... I don't know...
