View Full Version : unregistered ddr 266/200? what does unregistered mean?

hi, I have a motherboard that says in the manual that it "supportes unregistered... DDR 266/200 sdram". the problem i'm having is what does unregistered mean and does DDR 266=PC2100? thank you for reading, please help.

Hey there theone! <BR><BR>Unregistered memory is the normal stuff you'd get if you ask your local store for memory. Registered memory is ECC and you don't need that.<BR><BR>Yes DDR266 is PC2100... <BR><BR>What mobo are you using?

The motherboard that i am using is a Soltek SL-85DRV4-C. I dont' think this brand is popular in the U.S. or maybe it is. well that's the motherboard that i have, thanks for the repond.
