Ammo Box PC

Alright guys, I saw this on slashdot, and I decided to do it. Right now I'm just planning everything out, and instead of the little EPIA motherboards, I'm using an AMD one(heating will be a problem, still figuring that out). Yet to find the ammo box that we're going to use as well...<BR><BR>Parts?<BR>ASUS A7N8X-VM<BR>512mb of PC2100(2x256), i don't know what manufacturer yet<BR>40gb Samsung 5400RPM drive<BR>Radeon 9000 Pro<BR>Enermax 1U 350w PSU<BR>AMD XP +1800<BR><BR>Hopefully 2 green LED fans in the top, one blowing in over the HDs and the video card(since they will be situated fairly close together), and then one blowing out by the CPU.<BR><BR>What do you think?

Probably a .50 cal one, we haven't found the exact one we want yet, but we're looking. We as in my father and I(I'm only 15), but I'm KNOW that there are ammo boxes out there that would fit one. I'll post pics when I get them.

your local army surplus store should have a whole bunch of those ammo boxes.

The whole ammo box is a very good idea. Joes suggestion is very good. I know I've seen them at the Army/Navy store by my house.

Oh we know where to get them, its just finding one that fits correctly... has to be about 10-12in by 10-12in

I haven't fired a 50-cal in about a year so I don't really remember what size the ammo boxes are. I looked them up online and they didn't seem like they'd meet the 10"x12" requirement.

you could look in cabella's ( its a hunting catalouge) i've seen square ammo boxes in there before

It isn't an ammo box unless it's an authentic US Military ammo box <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I know that they have some bigger ammo boxes, I just have to find the right one.. theres a military surplus store but it was closed when I got there =( crie.<BR><BR>But thanks for the tips.. I planned it out in a 3D program I own and everything seems to fit properly, so thats a good sign. I planned it out in a 12x12in box.<BR><BR>It may be a .50, it may be like a 20mm, I don't know yet.

what is the 12x12? ... length, height, width? or are you meaning 12x12x12?

its like 12x12x6 is what i planned it for.. approx.. could go smaller

If the ammo box doesn't work out you could try a suitcase. Did you look on ebay for an ammo case?

No.. but considering we know like 5-6 people that are really into guns, and have a lot of extra ones, two of them happen to own their own gun stores, and another has hundreds of guns in a collection, i really think i'm okay. heehheh. its just getting THE RIGHT one.

wouldnt .50 be um 12.7mm hence smaller than 25mm ammo
