I think it looks pretty awsome. Do those switches have an OFF-LOW-HIGH setting, or just ON-OFF?

just on - off. ... all i needed ... so i can turn all fans but the cpu and video fans off. system is still cool with them off ... just really turn them on for games.

Aluminum cases don't run very warm, so that would work on fine. Does it at least cut the noise in half when you have the optional fans off?
yeah ... it probaly a little more then half the noise. which is nice

I'm going to have to do something about my cooling situation. Now that winter is arriving I don't need half of the fans in my system running. I'll have to come up with something.

I have a simple rheobus mod installed on my rig, which controls the two intake fans, the blowhole fan on top, the exhaust fan in the back, and the main cpu heat sink fan. You might want to check this out to see some other options.

I used switches like PJ but mine are chrome
And mine actually change fan voltage from 12V to 7V
If you wanna know how to wire them e-mail me, but then again is pretty simple. You should be able to figure it out

yeah they light up. i was thinking about building a rheostat for this computer ... but its kinda useless ... it runs cool with out fans .. just a little cooler with fans lol.
