good nforce2 mobos

as you probably can tell i havent been around since the begenning of summer, i've been real busy and such much, got into programming perl, which I love.<BR><BR>I was wondering what were some good nforce2 boards out there, I know some new versions of the chip have come out, does any1 know how the perform as compared to older stuff like nf7-s and a7n8x. I was thinking about finally getting a new mobo and ram now that 64bit has come and (theoretically) pushing down prices of this older stuff. I have decided to put off getting a 64 bit system because, well, it is just too darn expensive and with the two kinds of cpu's amd has put out it doesn't seem all that great to buy now, plus the whole issue of the fact there is very little 64-bit apps out (it would be cool though if a C++ compiler would come out for 64-bit, any1 know of it yet?)<BR><BR>thanks,<BR>mmcduff

A lot of boards now use the nForce 2 Ultra 400 chipset. I know the NF7-S version 2.0 uses this chipset. <BR><BR>Unlike you I have decided that I think I'm going to take the 64 bit plunge. AMD needs my support, so I will give it to them. I'm replacing my Motherboard, Barton 2500, Heatsink, and RAM. So far the Motherboard, Barton 2500, and Heatsink have been sold to Ari4324. Now your in luck! I just happen to have a 6 week old Abit NF7-S that I paid $120 for. It has been fully tested, guaranteed to work, and can yours for the bargain price of $99....shipping included! My girlfriend gets nice things all the time. A prometeia has finally made it on my list of things to buy....but it's not very high on the list. Right now it looks something like this...<BR><BR>1.) well, my condolences for your $20, i can get the <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.nexcomdirect.com/itemdesc.asp?CartId=13524371OVZHJ-ACCWARE-14&ic=MBABNF7S&cc=&tpc=">NF7-S for $103 with free shipping</a><BR><BR>besides, $100 for a mobo? what do you think, i have a job??? hey, what are you selling you ram for?<BR><BR>my upgrade list goes something like this:<BR>new mobo, ram<BR>edig odyssey 1000 (like an ipod, except its not an apple product)<BR>new cpu, heatsink<BR><BR>and then somewhere in there, i'd like a new digital camera, preferrably a canon 300d, which unfortunately costs 1k... <BR>but this is great, i already have myself a job arranged for next summer working at the university of washington (computer stuff), im not sure what exactly it will entail, but its a job and im sure it doesn't involve carrying them around the campus <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

lol, on ebay you can list it for 2x price and people will still buy, its sort of getting annoying how much new stuff is sold retail price on ebay these days...<BR><BR>i got halo for PC from a friend of a friend, and its frickin addictive... spent all of yesterday from when i got home from school to 11:30 playing the campaign. btw, when does the game end, i am on "the underground tunnels" mission, which is after i kill two of the three big powerthings
