Is there anyway to flash a BIOS using a bootable CD? Or are there any other reliable ways to update the BIOS aside from the floppy drive? I don't normally have the floppy drive in my machine... it's kicking aroung here somewhere if I need it though.

I run into the same problems because I too, dont' use a floppy drive. I normally just plug one in when I need it. Unless the Flash program spefically looks for drive A: which I don't think it does, you should be able to put the AWSFlash (whatever it's called) on a CDROM with your new BIOS and boot to it.

Yup, same procedure. If you have BIOS set to boot from CD-ROM and you've burned a boot disk & BIOS to CD. When you get to the DOS command prompt, just select the letter for the CD ROM (if it isn't A<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> and do what you normally would with the floppy version. The flash program just executes from the drive the command is on (in this case CD).
