howdy all, i went to play a game with teamspeak and my mic wont work. So i thought my mic was broke and i went and bought a new one, but it still wont work. The mic works at the very beggining but right when it loads windows it shuts off........any ideas?????? please help me , save my gaming life<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> <BR>

i dont htink teamspeak has anything to do with it..........i can hear myself as the comp boots but right when i select my name for the windows user screen i stop hearing myself.....i cant find any option muting my mic or anything.....its such a piss off!!!!1<BR>

try looking at the volume control program in your systray....the line in volume may be turned down

I find the mic in my XP machine like to become mysteriously 'disabled' all the time. I use MSN's video and voice with my out-of-town friends and family and I find I need to re-enable the mic quite often.

Try to see if there is another application using this feature that would make it unavailable to Teamspeak. Try disabling all startup applications and see if it still become unavailable.
