well as for me, i still listen to some punk mostly the old stuff, i dont like the poppy crap,my fav is Radiohead, but i also like the bands on my avatar and sig. I also listen to some emo, and hardcore. but yea ill basically listen to anything as long as its not repetative or annoying.

when i was little i used to listen to it, but some of it now is too materialistic, like all they rap about is thier 20 inch rims and their nice cars, how they have all this money and about the all the girls they have, i dont really like that idealogy. i dont tell people not to listen to it, they can listen to what ever they want.

hip-hop(not rap), punk(old the damned, middle rancid, new), classical(bach), country(if is sounds good), rock(the spectrum do many bands from 60's to now), salsa and other hispanic music(spanish people are from spain), do not watch mtv, bet, vh-1. i listen to music i don't watch it. by the way you should listen to one of jay-z's lyrics on his last album. i too blamed him for the majority of look what i got rap but he puts it out there that he dumbed down his lyrics to make the money(he does have alot of lyrical talent just got hooked on the money). i believe the general populous doesn't really listen to music, they hear a good beat that sounds good and half the time don't even know what's being said. this is sad.
