dream theater...has john pertrucci as a guitarist, a guitar god. they are progressive metal and are really good. they are pretty underground but theyve had quite a few records (12 or so) and are starting to come...above ground? lol, anyways there really good if you like skilled guitars and such.<BR><BR>thats it lol

i was listenin to some of there songs, but the vocals are really excessive, like all screaming and sh|t, which is all fine to get pumped, but for regular listening i like screaming and then liek singing in the middle, a great song i can think of that does this perfectly would be slipknot - my plauge, thats a crazy song and has screaming/singing in the middle, ya know ? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

death is the same thing as slipknot, just with some solo's lol, and i like slipknots vocalist better, the guitars of death are much better

First of all Death's frontman Chuck Schuldiner is called "The Farther of Death Metal". Their music is superior to slipknot, which has like 20 members and non of them can actually play. The guys from Death are metal legends, and if you know anything about basists, you should have heard of Steve DiGiorgio, one of the best of all time, and he played in Death. Some solos? Chuck pulls of crazy solos, bet non of the guys from slipknot could even play that. And just for the record, slipknot is numetal

alrite, since i have similiar tastes in music wit u, ima dl some of those songs, and get back to you. yes slipknot isnt nearly as skilled, but they do sound fricken (wow i hate not being able to curse whilst talking about music JEEZ) awesome, especially joey's drumming. the death i album i downloaded was "human" and its not very good to say the least, ima listen to these songs u sent me. also is death ur favorite band? what is ur favorite bands?<BR>mine are<BR>1)metallica<BR>2)led zeppelin<BR>3)jimi hendrix<BR>4)rage against the machine<BR>5)iron maiden<BR><BR>and the list goes on...

yeah we listen to about the same stuff, except for the newer metal half, then we went seperate ways <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">, anyways ill check out those albums, but did u ever hear the album human?, wasnt very good (i thought), maybe it was like there bum album?

I like just about all metal bands. I enjoy a lot of the newer ROCK bands too. All this new crap comin out is like I said, crap. Bunch of PUNK a$$e$.<BR><BR>Opeth<BR>Edge of Sanity: Only heard Crimson and Crimson II which I love very very much and everyone should check it out.<BR>Metallica<BR>Megadeth<BR>Children of Bodom: Cool and skilled guitarist, but keyboard gets out of hand sometimes.<BR>System of a Down<BR>Nine Inch Nails<BR>Rob Zombie<BR>Slipknot<BR>Mudvayne<BR>Pantera<BR>Rage Against the Machine<BR>Paul Oakenfold: Gots to have some trance here and there<BR>and etc... <BR><BR>Oops, forgot classics like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Pink Floyd. Wow, I can't believe you only like dig. I like Mudvayne a lot more than Slipknot. Mudvayne has the sweetest bassist. You should go listen to Nothing to Gein from the LD50 album. That's one of their best songs.
