nrton antivirus

i cannot get norton off of my computer. i uninstalled and even tried removing it from the registry but its still hanging on. how do i get rid of it wihout reformating the drive? HELP!!!!!

Delete the actual folder from the HDD and all the files, then remove every trace of it from the regestry. Use the search feature within the registry to make sure you find evey key or value to do with Norton or Symantec.<BR><BR>I have done this to get rid of other problem applications but never Norton Antivirus specifically, so good luck.

did you actually uninstall it or did you delete the folder that it was installed into?

yes i unistalled from the add/remove section. still there. i'll try to remove it manually and see what happens.
