HTML in the siggy

i tried the <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.whatever.com">myurl</a> and it just shows up as written and not in html. what am i doing wrong? i want to put my score for 3dmark in my siggyand the site so others can check it out to verify but no go so far. help please.

Sorry I don't have it memorized. Not to mention I just changed my own sig, so I can't go check that. When I get home tonight I'll look up my old sig and post what is necessary.
