I am stupid for installing xp service pack 2 beta

Ever since i installed XP service pack 2 beta, i cant download anything of internet explorer! Transfers through bit-torrent, kazaa, in games, and over AIM still work, but anything on Internet Explorer gets stuck at 99%. The entire file finishes, but it just stays at 99% and sits there. For many hours. wtf?!

try using another program to download the files such as flashget or getright....as this doesn't go through internet explorer they should complete

Can you link me to where i can get them, and explain a bit? Do they just take my regular internet explorer download and download it through a different interface, or am i limited to only their available downloads?

its just a different download manager, just type the names in google and youll find them

You could try using MOZILLA or MOZILLA FIREFOX , they have their own downlaod manager and then you can do away with crappy old internet explorer, also if IE is playingup try to upgrade it to the latest version if you want to persist with IE that is<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

im running sp2, having no problems, are you running a virus scanner?

Have you considered doing a system restore to the point prior to SP2 install? Just a thought.

as long as ur system hasnt crashed yet, system restore shud work like king said, but if your passin the system on 2 ur sister, or w/u, theres not harm in doing a complete reinstall 4 her

The day i get my laptop, im gona swipe this thing. I'll try mozilla for the meantime<BR><BR>maybe the next day, i'll be busy creaming while playing games on a wireless LAN all day<BR> wont that be a new experience!
