Hi guys! just scratching my head here trying to figure out why my page file keeps on going to the end of the drive instead of the beging. now i have used nortan speed disk to defrag fo the longest time and the page file has always been at the begining, but now no matter if i even delete the page file, defrage, then add the page file back it still goes to the end of all the files . the only thing i think it might be would be a reg tweak i did from Colin's tech tips , 3 weeks ago , where i did the following <br><br><< <i> "(Start -> Run then type regedit and press the ok button) and follow this path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> WindowsNT -> Current Version -> Winlogon. >From there find the SFCDisable binary value and enter this hexadecimal value FFFFFF9D (decimal value = 4294967197)." </i> >><br><br> which enables you to delete files where ever you want with out windows stopping you. OF course i am not an idiot and i didn't delete any system files. So i don't know why my page file is being so stubborn.. any ideas?? <BR><BR>thanks guys.
