Can someone pls teach me how to format a win 2000 pc ?<BR>

not really familiar with Fdisk.<BR>The Win2000 was not install by me.<BR>

I'm assuming that by 'format' you mean that you want to format the c: drive and wipe out the operating system... That's what the directions below are based on.<BR><BR>The easiest way to format a Win2k system is to use the Win2k CD. Boot with it, choose the option to install windows 2000, rather than repairing the existing install. You will be brought to the disk partitioning and formatting screen. Here you can see a list of the partitions (essentially drives like c: or d: ) that exist on each of your hard disks. Assuming you wish to completely erase your c: drive, select the c: partition and hit d to delete it. Once you have done this, the display will be updated with 'unpartitioned space.' Highlight this and press c to create a partition. Once you have done this, highlight the new partition and hit ENTER to continue with the install process if you want to install 2k again, or quit out if you don't. <BR><BR>Note that if you want to install an older OS like Windows 98, you are probably better off using the FDISK program.
