video compression????????????????

hey guys whats up. i gotta question for you guys. i got this 50mb home video that i want to email to some of my family. my email account will only let me send up to 2mb. is there anyway i can compress this video without it looking too horrible? or is there any alternatives to sending this video??? any sugestions???

Well I don't think any compression could shrink a 50MB file to 2MB... even if the result looked like crap.<BR><BR>As alternative you could setup an FTP server on your PC. <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1491">PCStats Guide to making an FTP server.</a>

i actually think it is possible. i has a 100+mb video file and i used dr. divx to shrink it down to 2.26 mb. id say go to the divx website and download their free tool and see if it works for you. you can always reduce fps and size to shrink it more. depending on how long the footage is i think it might be possible.

it can be done but it will look like total garbage. ... I would say if you talk to this person on aim, icq, or any other messenger program to just send through that.
