HELP on new build!

I am building an entry level computer.(first time). The system is cheapo: Soyo K7VME mb, AMD Anthlon XP 2000, 256mb Kingston PC-2100, WD 80GB 7200RPM HD, Windows XP home.<BR><BR>When installing Win XP i get the same error everytime at the restart point. "ERROR LOADING OPERATING SYSTEM" . I have tried the installation many times, even reformating the HD. I have checked all connections , still no luck. <BR><BR>Any suggestions?

Check alll of your connections (IDE, Floppy, etc.) make sure everything is set right...also is your BIOS set?

Thanks for the reply. Found I had a bad ribbon cable(new) at 2AM .Replaced with an old one ,reformatted the HDD and reinstalled. AOK!
