Well, my new ThermalRight 947U arrived right on time. Was wanting some suggestions as to what fan I should throw on top of it to get the best performance. I just have a generic 80mm on there right now since it pulls more air than my Tt Ultra-Silent.

92mm Tornado - loud, great performance
92mm Panaflo - quieter but still good

I would suggest something like a tordado, with a good fan controller. Only crank up the speed when your benchmarking or doing hours of gaming. Otherwise, you can keep it pretty quiet.

80 or 92 mm tornado...and a fan controller...(make sure it can support about 15 watts per channel or you'll burn one out :P)

I suggest you get a 92mm to 120mm adapter and buy a 120mm Delta 220CFM Dual Motor fan :D I'm just playin witcha, unless you think it's a good idea. Go with a 92mm Tornado. If the case is good then the Tornado shouldn't be too loud. My friend got an Antec Performance Series case and now his 92mm Tornado sounds just as quiet as my 80mm Tornado. I consider the 80mm Tornado acceptably noisy. Nothing to gawk at.

Well, I'm running everything in a Tt Xaser III V1000 with the HardCano 9 fan controller. I know channels 2 and 3 would handle the power draw but I'll have to check and see if 1 and 4 can handle it. Hell, I could just mod my window and duct a 120 onto it.... LOL
