Anyways, I sold my old Pentium 800 Mhz to my friend. I sold him pretty much the tower, except with another HDD. I unplugged my old videocard and soundcard, optical drives and floppy.

So now, when I put his stuff in... Plug the mointor, but the mointor keeps showing the off mode/orange light. I am sure that everything is plugged in... However, still no screen on the mointor. Computer starts up and red light(at the front of the case) doesn't turn off. What problem could that be? I was using the same computer(different stuff) an hour before I deliever to his house. So I am pretty sure that nothing was fried.

Pentium 3, 800EB with stock fan
256 MB RAM, (2x128MB each)
3 GB Seagate HDD and 40GB Maxtor HDD
Some really old.. probably sound blaster 16 ISA soundcard
ATI Xpert 128 AGP videocard
Some old PCI modem

If anyone has this much patience to read this whole thing... thx a lot. Plz give me some idea/possibilities why this is happening, thx.

Hey anti,

If you put all the original hardware back together, does the system start up? After you put his stuff in the system, did you reset the CMOS before booting?

There should be a jumper on the Motherboard. Usually they have a little "CMOS" label next to them, but not always. They are also typically located near the battery.
