hi all just wondering if someone out there can tell me if a Pentium 4-2.8E GHz/533MHz FSB processor will fit in a P4 Titan series 875P mother board GA-81875/GA-81K1100

If the mobo's an 875P, then it will support that Prescott.

One item is the 2.8E is a Prescott 800 FSB processor. If you want a 533 FSB, get the 2.8B Northwood. I think it's a better processor anyway, runs cooler and allows more overclocking.

may as well get the 800FSB Northwood surely?

I wouldn't get a 533 FSB proc cuz it's not worth the performance loss for a few bucks (literally). Get an 800 FSB. If you are worried about heat issues and the like, you might want to get a Northwood. They run cooler than prescotts and run the *exact* same performace...at least at speeds right now.

ya, northwood mite b a better option if u dont plan on overclockin, the prescott core is a good core aside from the heat, but its made to run higher clock speeds than whats currently available, thats y they oc so much better
