deleting folder

hi, i have this folder on my desktop which when i try to delete , rename or do anything with it i get the message
cannot delete file, cannot read from the source file or disk.

how do i get rid of this bloody folder, any ideas.

maybe you have a file or program on it thats running in the background. Open up Task Manager and check if any of the files in the folder are running as a service...

folder is empty mate, cant rename it either. it came to be on my desktop when i made a new folder but 2 folders with the same name appeared on desktop which is not right, 1 was empty , the other files in it. i deleted the 1 with files but still cant work out how come i could have 2 folders with same name on desktop at same time.

Try starting in safe mode and deleting it in there
