What is the most quiet Fan out there?

I read a lot about different fans and I really wonder what is know to be the most quiet fan ever. I don't really care about temperatures as long as it can keep an XP 2400+ at stock speed alive. And please, I'm talking about hs & fans here, not WC.

so you are talking about both the profile and the fan i suppose

well profilewise i think most people are thermalright fans :P

imho then good fans are papst and vantec are ok too i suppose

maybe a
Thermalright SLK-900A
or a
Thermalright SLK-947U if you have mounting holes in your motherboard

and then a nice 23dB papst 92mm fan on it


if thats too expensive and you dont want the golden solution

The Spirecoolers Whisperrock IV is pretty quiet.

I switched from the Cooler Master HHC-001 to that fan and notice a BIG difference in noise.
