setting up ftp server... doesn't work

I want set up an ftp server on my computer, running Win XP. I followed the guide here on the pcstats-page, step by step, and it seemed simple enough. However, even though I checked the "allow anonymous connections", when I try to reach my ftp-server I get the message "this site does not allow anonmymous connections or the email adress is not accepted"?!

Why could this be? Does anyone know how to solve it?

Can you connect if you use a username and password? I'd set up a user to test... What FTP client are you trying to use to connect to your server? IE doesn't really give enough feedback when you can't connect sometimes. Something like WS_FTP will provide a connect log that will have more information and could be helpful in troubleshooting.
