Here's the deal. I recieved all of the parts for my new rig 2 weeks ago. (Check my sig. for the stats) I also orded the MSI Neo2 Platinum nForce3 Ultra mobo at the same time. I waited a week and a half for it to get in, and they told me it was on back order from all retailers. Ofcourse, they don't have a clue when it will be back in.

So, here's the deal. Should I just keep waiting until they finally get the board in (while I drool all over my parts that aren't being used.)

OR

Should I go with the Gigabyte GA-K8NSNXP-939 nForce3 Ultra chipset? This mobo I could order right now and most likely recieve it before the MSI one gets off of back order. The price difference between the two makes no difference.

Thanks for your help all!!

This is a tough one....

I know how you feel about waiting....I've been waiting forever for a new graphics card. It definetly sucks. At the same time, I don't really like that Gigabyte board, and it appears to be extremely overpriced. I'm going to abstain from this vote :)

I understand what you are saying completly man. I wouldn't even think twice if I didn't already have all of these sweet parts sitting around. I thought I was going to get them all at the same time. So, now I am stuck. hehe.

Hopefully some of you all have some good opinions. Maybe this will help... I won't be doing any overclocking at all.

I cannot get the regular neo because I have a 3500+ (check out my sig for my parts).

hehe... I keep telling myself that. Mostly I am just impatient. You pay for something, and you want it now!! lol. It is a new product, so I should have expected it. I think that Gigabyte board does look nice though =)

Update: After thinking about it a bit longer, I'm still undecided. Your system specs look so good with that MSI board in there. Gigabyte will tarnish the whole thing :p

brr...get the asus a8v board then...athought it is k8t800pro...it should be alright...infact in colin's review it performed up to par with the gigabyte mobo it beat it in all the real game tests...excpet its much cheaper...

Nah man K8T800 will kill it. And if you read the newegg reviews some people are having problems with the gigabyte...

Yea, I have been reading those reviews. I think that the MSI board might be coming out of back order soon. I was looking on zipzoomfly.com... and all of the sudden they have a bundle deal w/ the MSI board. I mean, isn't that strange since the board isn't in stock there yet? hehe... anyhow, I hope it is soon!!!
