This error message appears on startup. Also the floppy drive led lits up but nothing else happens. After booting (with the reset button) 10-20 times my computer starts normally and works perfectly until next startup.

I didn't install any new hardware nor screwed up with my computer settings. The problem just appeard one day and it has bee bugging me since.

My computer specs:

ASUS A7N8X-X
Athlon XP 2800
Club 3D Radeon 9800 SE

Please if anyone knows what's wrong tell me. Is it the motherboard or CMOS chip or just corrupted BIOS?

Welcome to the PCStats forums geezer.:)
It's possible your CMOS battery has become completely discharged and needs to be replaced.
The other possibility is that a BIOS update was bad/corrupted. Have you flashed the BIOS recently? If replacing the battery doesn't fix it, I would try going into the BIOS, reset everything and then save it, or try flashing the BIOS as a last resort.

No I didn't flash the BIOS recently or ever. The computer is not that old. I'll try the battery changeing. Thanks

Yes, it does. But on startup with the error message it doesn't.
