Gigabyte GA-8KNXP Rev2 Memory Timing Issue

Hi,

I am running Gigabyte GA-8KNXP Rev2 with 2 x 512 MB OCZ PC3200 modules listed as 2-3-3-6. I am having trouble setting the memory timings manually.

I am running the latest BIOS version FI.

I hit CTRL + F1 to enter the Advanced Chipset Features menu in the BIOS, changed the DRAM timing option to Manual, and then tried to change the CAS latency. The problem is that there is only CAS 2.5 listed.

Does anyone else have the same problem? Any solutions? Maybe a different BIOS version?

does CPU-Z say they are running 2.5 CAS ?

Yes, CPU-Z and SiSoft Sandra both show the memory is running at CAS 2.5.

maybe a bios flash will help....but if you dont know what you are doing..dont flash...hehe...could kill your mobo...

Hmm, I just flashed it to the latest BIOS version, and I still cannot change the CAS latency. CAS 2.5 is the only option. Anyone else have the same motherboard?

hmm...i guess you could try emailing gigabyte and ask em..apart from that..i have no idea..
