Is the new cooler master xdream III any good? How about some of the crazy looking thermaltake ones, ahahah. I'm trying to get a list for my upgrade.... so far i have

1.AMD64 3500+
2.MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum Nforce3 Ultra mobo
3.Twinx Corsair XMS PC 3200's XLPT (1gig) 2-2-2-5!!

but what about the cooler master's xdream III? Is it even out yet? Only thing that i find appealing from the xdream III is the blue LED's cuz it'll match perfectly in my case, eh

thermalrite xp120..with a nice 120mm fan... $64 + price of a fan, and shipping. Definetly not worth the money. The stock fan is free, and works great. I love to waste money on my computer, but I would rather buy an extra HD, or high end sound card instead of that HS. Just my opinion though :)

i agree with Shiznit...you can even overclock a little bit (not max out) with the stock cooler on those 939 pin CPU's...so my opinion too is to get the retail 3500+

yeah i'm gonna get the retail no matter what, cuz oem's warranty suxxors!. How much can a 3500+ be clocked? from 2.2gigz to?
Also, since your saying amd's run better on tighter timing... i just clocked my 2700's to turbo settings (2.0-2-2-6) used to be (2.5-3-3-7). So far its giving me no problems.

yea they should be more responsive with those timings, have you tried OCing those?

as I posted in a new thread, my athlon 64 3500+'s temp. is quite ridiculous. 53 at idle. I don't even wanna try to fully load the cpu. Too scared. So, let's continue the thread. WHat's the best heatsink for amd64 939 socket? I found thermalright xp-120, thermaltake silent book k8, evercool k802-715, and zalman cnps 7000-cu. I want a silent, but powerful one. Budget isn't too much of a concern for now.

also any suggestion for any silent 80mm silent case fan?

either the thermalright xp-120 with a nice 120mm fan or the zalman cnps 7000-cu...i think the thermalright will perform better...with the right fan....

the vantec stealth is not bad for a 80mm case fan 26dba...the Panaflo 80mm 'MEDIUM' 32.1cfm 28dba M1A Case Fan is good too

bluegreenshxt, Can you recommend me one 120mm fan that is quite but still strong? Thanks man.

Panaflo - 120mm "LOW" 68.9cfm 30dba L1A Fan
Vantec 120mm Stealth Case Fan 53 CFM 28dba

these are some good quiet fans too...although they might be lacking in performance...

if you have a fan controller..get a better fan with a bit more cfms and turn it down when you dont need it to keep it quiet...and turn it up if it gets hot...

yeah i heard panaflo's are really good if you want silence, eh.
