Before I forget... I need to get a new 120mm fan thats silent :) Mine is louder than my 92mm tornado (on low speed) Thats not cool at all. Doesnt have to be fancy, although it's cool if it is :) Thanks in advance... Sorry, Im feeling lazy, but I value your opinions, haha :p

the vantec stealth at 28dba is pretty good
the Panaflo - 120mm "LOW" 68.9cfm 30dba L1A Fan is good too

i wouldnt go with anything above 30dba..because my vantec aeroflow was too loud for me..LMAO...

53 cfm @ 28 dba... or 70.6 cfm @ 29.8 dba, vantec or antec ? cmon you know this one ;) (not to mention who's copying who, but then again if price matters and looks don't, go with the vantec)

* and then there's this one http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-129-030&depa=0 witch is prolly the best pick

oh and may i suggest you try to get the rubber screw things antec uses instead of metal screws (they came with my case) their so ill, it keeps your fan in place, but also gives it a bit of unnoticable room to move around so the noise and vibrations are non existent

The 120mm Thermaltake fan on NewEgg is a really good fan. I have 1, and I just ordered 2 more yesterday. It is rated for 78cfm/34db. I find it to be a very quiet fan.

34 db, inst that like 4-5 times louder? anyway i'm not judging your fan, but i've seen other thermaltake fans where the fins just broke off after like 1 month of use

You must read reviews. That would be the same as determining processor performance by the benchmarks released by the company who makes the processor.

I've never actually seen a fin just break off a fan. It is all one solid piece of plastic. You need to quit sticking crap in the fan blades. Any fan would eventually break from doing that :p

well all i have to say in my defence

:), but really it doesn't matter what 120mm fan you get, as long as it has a good dba to cfm ratio

LOL...but you didn't deny that you stuck something in there. Kind of coincidental that 3 finns happened to fly off at the same time ;)

i always use papst (not as much pc fans as industrial fans that i use at work)
in my pc's they are not noisy and have a high mtbf but they are all black and not
really for modding but then i dont really mod my case

but thinking about straying because i need a 4mm fan and i found a brand called adda
who got a 4mm fan which only have a noise level of 14dB

well i din't stick anything in there, its not even my pic, according to the guy who took the pick, one fin broke off, he tried glueing it together (you can see itstill attached) and then when the second fin broke off it took the third one with it

i think trying to glue a fan wing on is by default a lost cause
if something spin at 2500 to 5000 rpm forget about glue

I was messing around with the fan in the case trying to find the best position for the temps to be the coolest. the fan fell off the ROM drive I had it sitting on while it was running. As it fell, it hit some wiring and snapped off one of the fins. DAMN!

Yuck, I can't believe everyone's trying to get quiet 120mm fans. If I had a chance to use a 120mm fan, I'd piss my pants at how much more performance can be gained over an 80mm fan. Sorry, but I can't suggest a quiet fan. I suck at making comprimises. If you change your mind, Crax, you can easily get a Delta 190CFM which is rated at 59 decibals.

The only think that would have prevented it is if the fan had a fan guard on it. I knew I should have put one on, but I was too lazy.

impressed with the fins on the smart case II fan... i've been running 2 of them for about a year and never had any problems at all, apart from people moaning about the noise... 120mm thunderblade is great. i put it on my volcano 11 heatsink. 42c idle and 46 load. very nice indeed
