Outpost.com has HL2 available for preorder and free shipping for $49.99. Their standard ground shipping is pretty fast, and just as good as the FedEx Saver Shipping that Newegg.com uses.
Not a ground-breaking price, but hey, saves me state sales tax, and gas money on a 20 minute trip to EB Games ;)

Yes you can, but it's only a download. I would rather have a tangible copy so I can reinstall it on a different comp/hdd if windows goes wacky....etc. I also like the box art. :D
lol...u cant install it again if u dl it off steam?...that sux if ur doing a reformat
but with this you'll have to put up with their bs, and then wait for like 2 weeks until you get it, and yes you do have to dl it off of steam, but you can always burn the files to a dvd or multiple cd-s and just drag and drop
no, im gonna assume that it gives you a cdkey and you just keep that....hence the "register a product i already own" button :P

There are different products available off of steam, depending on the package you choose, it varies from simply a download, to a full software kit, in box, delivered to your home.
