I'd love to help you out here, but I don't support Intel hardware
;) Actually, I'm just not familiar with their heatsinks, so I don't know what to tell you. Switch to AMD and I can help you out :)

yah go amd :p...or wait till thermalright comes out with something...
otherwise get the coolermaster hyper48 and put a better fan on it...the one it comes with is for quiet cooling..as it barely moves any air or makes noise..lol...or if you put a 92mm tornado on it (if you can get it to fit cause its thicker than most fans)...it will be pretty decent...but the heatsink it self actually looks like a decent cooling solution...if you get a tornado or a high airflow 92mm fan...get a fan controller with it...

Can you find me a link to the coolermater hyper48, cuz i could only find the Hyper 6 and says it only fits socket 478 for p4, and i need sumthin that fits the LGA 775 Socket

Get a P4 560 or higher and a kick ass heatsink like the Jungle 512.

you're joking rite?? jungle 512?!
Anyways about the Hyper 48 it does fit the 775 socket here's a link (http://www.coolermaster.com/index.php?LT=english&Language_s=2&url_place=product&p_serial=KHC-L91-U1&other_title=+KHC-L91-U1+Hyper%2048) in the introduction it says it fits socket 775
LOL...i cant believe they put "high airflow fan" on that page...that thing runs at 1400 rpm.......yea..if you get it slap on something that moves a lot more air...although i dont think it's available yet...
there is also thermaltake's tower 102...but i just dont think either of them will perform as good as the best socket a, 754,939,478 heatsinks

I think im gonna go with the Zalman ZM-CS1, the person im building this comp for really seemed to like it, and as they say the customer is always right

Dude. The jungle 512 can push a 3.6 pressie to over 4 ghz. Remember, its a pressie. It has a 3600 rpm speed and that's not 1400. :p

Goku, why spend the money for a 3.6 when the lower clocked CPUs will overclock to the same speed? Anyways 4Ghz from a 3.6Ghz CPU is nothing. Colin got 4.11Ghz on a 3.2Ghz Prescott when he reviewed the DFI LANParty 875P-T (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1662). That was with the stock heatsink and fan by the way.
chris, I recommend the Swiftech MCX775-V because they make good heatsinks, but it's not out yet. Would it be an option for your friend to use the stock heatsink/fan until the MCX775 is available?

Bleeeeeeehhhhhh. Blaaaaaarrrrrrgggggg. What's the lowest clocked 775 intel proc? 3.4? 3.2? Their prices are pretty close to each other. w/e nm.
Did colin do that with the intel stock heatsink?!?! nice!

o wow...if i saw it earlier i would have recommended it over anything else :p i didnt realize zalman came out with a socket 775 edition already
Edit: Goku...the jungle 512 cools worse than an intel stock hsf.. here's the link (http://www.ocmodshop.com/default.aspx?a=201&p=540)
