I am running a Biostar M7NCD (Non-Pro) and an Athlon XP 2600+ processor with a 3200+ CPU cooler, which in theory should be plenty cool enough...
I leave my system on for several hours, and it crashes out, sounding the system speaker in high then low tones...I don't know what this sound means, can anyone tell me...Does it mean that the processor is too hot? It runs at 38-40 degrees under heavy load (90-100% CPU usage) I dont believe that this is anywhere near the highest temp it can reach.
Another thing....I am really annoyed about another XP 2600+ processor i bought...It only clocks at 1150MHz clock speed (1.15Ghz) and this is really pissing me off coz the minute I change the FSB and memory frequency, it ****s up and crashes, making thw same noise as above, high then low tones...HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Up your voltage on the the CPU and maybe memory. Dont believe there are any Biostar motherboard users in these forums so that might be alittle challenging

To overclock the 2600+ to 3200+ usually requires a bit more voltage then stock. Try increasing the voltage in one notch steps until the system will run stable under load. A good stress tester for the CPU is Prime95. When changing speeds and testing I usually run Prime95 for 20-25 minutes as an initial test. When I settle on a speed I like to see Prime95 run error free for a few hours.

1.15 is your safety boot up speed...if it wont run default speed then something is wrong with one of your computer's parts or something is wrong with how you've set it up in the bios...

what kind of memory do you have?
