are u using a stock AMD heatsink?...i would def. switch that out with something from Thermalright...and throw a Vantec Tornado fan on the heatsink...that could be whats making your comp so hot

Dont mean to sound rude but could you give me the name of the best heatsink and fan and then links for them.....and how would i put the fan on the heatsink with thermal paste??

Most heatsinks come with fasteners or fixtures which while hold the fan on. Weezy had some good advice though, anything by Thermalright will do you well :) As far as thermal past, go Arctic Silver 5 :) Thats the stuff right there... Make sure you know what you're doing though when you put it on... we have a guide or a post around here somewhere.

Alot of the heatsinks actually come with the thermal paste on them already. I'm shur it's not great quality, but if you want to put your own on, i had actually asked this a little while ago, here's the link to the thread.

switch that fan on the side of your case to blow air in...cool air from the outside in this particular scenario will probably help more...check the temps after to make sure that it's helped not worsened the situation...

also modding the fans on the GS is a good idea too...those fan's look too small to be pushing enough air quietly :p...i would take off the entire fan bracket and try to put two 80mm maybe even two 92mm fans on it(depending on how long the card is)...

a thermalright xp-120 with a high airflow 120mm fan and a fan controller is probably the best air solution for the a64 right now...of course that is if you dont mind a bit of noise...but anything is better than stock...

this is what i have been thinking of doing, and also taking off the heatsink and put on some AS5
