View Full Version : Is this good? Zantec HSF
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0165997
Am using the stock HSF for my Lian Li PC-65 / A64, which is running at 55-58 load (and sometimes restarting itself). Also considering replacing PC-65 fans, but don't know if that is necessary?
looks good...try something from Thermalright too

yup its good...
ofcourse a xp120 with a high cfm fan will be better...but much noisier
the zalman 7000a-cu is quiet and performs good :)
i have the al/cu version since newegg ran out of the all copper ones. running my amd64 3400@2.6ghz right now (12x217) and temps are 49c. i like it and it's not even the all copper one either. bluegreendshxt is right about it being quite. max fan speed and you don't even notice it.
Yeah I like it so far :) :) My CPU temps are down about 6-7 degrees over the stock HSF. I think my cooling problems are the northbridge chipset. The MSI (I have a Neo Plat 2) passive HS on that chip SUCKS> For example, my core CPU temp now just browsing on the net is 41 degrees. The NB temp is 44 degrees. That's lame :)
I've read this: http://forum.msi.com.tw/thread.php?threadid=55646&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=3
Not sure I want to try that tho' :(

what is a good fan im planning on getting the thermalright xp 120 with the sunon 120mm fan(heard it was loud it can go up to 3100 RPM) i dont really care about loudness though as long as my pc is a beast so is that a good combo or is there another 120mm fan that is a little less noisy but can still push a lot of air?
according to the reviews it seems that the thermalright is going to be the king of hsf's. good choice you got going there bro'.

the noisier the fan..the more air its pushing...
a little less noisy = a little less air ;)
i think you might be able to find something even faster, nosier, and pushing more air..just get a fan controller though...you needa be able to turn it down when someone's talking to you :D
