I want to buy a fan for the 90nm athlon64 3500+ I'm getting for christmas. I want to attempt an overclock to 2.5 ghz, but I may settle for 2.4 just to be on the safe side. How many CFM would be needed? I'm trying to balance out CFM vs dB because I want to keep this comp relativley quiet. Im using 2 120mm kingwin fans for intake and outtake along with my PSU, and I'm probably going to be looking for a 120mm HSF

The Thermalright XP 120 is pretty good. It can cool lower end procs without any fans. It's that good. You can hook a pretty quiet 120mm fan on it too.

i heard the thermalright 120 was hard to install and didnt fit on all motherboards

is this true? I wouldnt want to buy it and then not have it fit...

The zalman is also near the top of my list for possible options

you have to check thermalright's website before you buy it...they have a list of comaptible motherboards...
