Permanently Expand Start Menu

Hello all, I'm new here and was wondering how to permanently have the start menu expanded (no double arrows hiding icons). I would also like to do the same in office. Thanks for any help.

hmm..i dunno what you're trying to say...

but if you're using winxp rightclick your taskbar/startbutton and click properties...anything you can change is basically in there...look around for what you need..

right click the taskbar and go to properties, then uncheck Hide Inactive Icons at the bottom

I figured it out, I had to turn off personalized menus in the start menu properties. Thanks for your help. Just so you know what I meant, (this is the same thing that was happing with the start menu.
