WTF Firefox!?!?!

My firefox browser seems to have "restarted" There are no more bookmarks or any of those "quick link" buttons. I don't even have tabbed browsing anymore! :eek: Wtf happened? Can I get my old stuff back?

All I did was open up firefox. A window popped up saying that I couldn't use the default user because it was in use. WTF!

I've tried everything in the options, but nothing works. It's like everything just got erased. WTF!

EDIT: I just noticed that all of my freakin' bookmarks are gone. Damn you firefox for what you did!

hehehe, i use avant, its never done that to me, and i keep a backup of my favourites/bookmarks :p

mozilla and firefox - as much as I'd love to love them, I hate them. Damn mozilla everytime I do anything with it - at the most critical moment I want to read/see something, it has an error and shuts down :mad:
firefox dod the same thing the first time I used it nad I uninstalled it right away. IE6 never gave me any problems. If they put in tabbed bowsing I'd be happy as a pig in shxt! ;)

Mine never shut down...it just deleted my settings once. I guess it's what you get when something is free... :(

Goku, you didn't happen to export a copy of your bookmarks, did you? The same thing happened to me and I couldn't get it to work. So I reinstalled Firefox, reinstalled tabbrowser extensions, and imported my backup copy of bookmarks, and I got everything back to the way it was. I always make a backup my bookmarks because I have some important bookmarks I don't want to lose.

You could try loading a fresh copy ov the latest version and tell it to import all your settings, everytime I update mine it will do this, So far the only problems Ive had are unexplained program shutdown, but that was only an erlier version, the latest one is excellent.

gokusimpson, have you tried restarting your computer?
I know its a stupid question, but thats what happened to me when I used to use Netscape.

I have it installed on four computers, and the only time I had problems is when one over heats, and the other is when I try overclocking a P2 400Mhz with no extra cooling.

The only problem I can find so far, is that my sisters use Yahoo mail, and they keep complaining about not being able to put smilies.
I just hope the maker of the eWebMail Color and Graphics extension puts that in one day.

I had the same problem goku had and rebooting did nothing to alleviate the problem for me.
