Is there a command that will eject the CD-ROM from the command prompt?

I just did a google search and it came up with this (http://www.bookcase.com/library/software/msdos.util.cdrom.html). Scroll down until you get to CDROMCMD. It seems to do all the things you are looking for. You can also scroll down further to FXEJECT, which seems to be a smaller program that allows you to just eject.
I suppose all you have to do is download either and put it in your Windows Command folder, so it's readily available to you from the DOS prompt.
Hope that works for you.

If you're running WinXP, you can put it in the C:\Windows\system32 folder.
