uhh, how bout the nvidia drivers. i still use the 3.13 version. but theres a 4.xx, and a 5.xx versions now. i used the 4.xx version, not bad, but 3.13 is a bit faster i find

what chipset do you have? noforce 2 needs 3.xx version an up, maybe 2.xx, nforce 3 needs the 4.xx version and up, and nforce 4 need 5.xx, so if your running some with nforce 4, it would seem your screwed for better drivers
no they all use the same drivers dude...

if you goto download drivers on the homepage of nvidia.com and goto download drivers hit motherboard and unified driver package itll say supported mobos:
nforce
nforce2
nforce3
nforce4
nforce7428346725823
everything but the last one :P

yeah, but what i meant was, if you want to use older drivers, you can only go back so far, nforce4 wont work with 4.xx ver drivers
It was unified driver................... support all nVidia chipset........
Anyway, go to nvidia network access manager and try tweaking it from there............ set the network capacity to CPU or throughoutput............ you'll find it inside the network access manager :p

where can i find that? :P
Err....... you can access it in your start menu>NVIDIA Corporation>Network Access Manager, then execute the "web-based Interface"
All depends on where you install the nVidia nforce system drivers.........

what nforce chipset do you have on your mobo, i think the network access manager only applies to nforce3 and up
oh, i have the nforce 2 (abit nf7-s)

really? silly me then :D
i think the network access manager will work if you use the integrated nForce network controller.................
There are 6.xx's out now but it is still considered beta. If you want to check them out here they are. http://www.station-drivers.com/page/nvidia%20nforce.htm

im using an nf7-s as well and i dont have the network access manager. like i said, i thinks its for nf3 and up, for the built in firewall and stuff (is the firewall part of the nic)
yeah you can get the built in one thru
my computer > change a setting > network and poop > network connections
then click on your connections properties and click configure
what would be the best setup...
network address: not present or you can enter one in
optimize for: (cpu/throughput) its set to cpu
speed/duplex settings: (full autonegotiation, force 100 half duplex, force 100 full duplex, force 10 half duplex, force 10 full duplex, autonegotiate for 10HD, then the same thing with 10FD, 100HD, 100FD
wtf does that all mean lol
and then theres
wake onLAN from poweroff enabled
what does that all mean? lol
Why dont you set the Speed/Duplex Setting to Full Autonegotiation, Enabled the Flow Control, Enabled the Checksum Offload, and try optimize it for throughoutput..............
Try it and see what happened.............:D
