View Full Version : No repair option on windows cd?

First, thanks very much for the information within that article.

I used it to install iastor raid drivers and I do see the hard drive when I boot off the cd which is an improvement.

However, for some reason, I no longer see the repair option on the
Windows welcome screen. Only install. Did I do something wrong?

The original Win XP cd does give me the repair option when I boot up on a non raid machine so Im stumped.

When you RAID the Hard Disk Drives, the process will delete all the data inside, so, when you put the Windows XP CD, it will assume you've want to install XP for the first time................ so no such thing as repair options!

Thanks for the reply.

Actually using AHCI. Only one drive.

The intent was to be able to boot off the win xp pro cd, have the iastor driver install so I could see the hard drive and then be able to do a repair if necessary.
