Ok, i'd discover a simple tweak that will enhance your PC performance, and honestly i never seen anyone tweaking this................
So, i made a simple and helpful tweaking guide for newbies (we have a truckload of guest everyday in this forum), and hope you all benefit from this tweak......
This guide is about tweaking those Event Manager............. its a logging service that must be left running on Windows XP, otherwise you'll have problem updating windows or launching some programs....................

- You CANT disable this service!
So, what did Event Log do? Simple, it logs the activities happening on the OS for debugging and troubleshooting purposes. But honestly, i've never seen anyone utilising this event log...........
Ok, so it log, and logging process requires read/write process to your Harddisk, and somewhat eaten your CPU time. Not much, but we tend to squeeze out every square inch of performance on our computer. Well, simple, we just clean the log and disable it.............
First of all, launch the Event Viewer. You can access the Event Viewer by going to START>Control Panel>Adminstrative Tools>Event Viewer. Or you can just go to START>Run and type the following:

Click Ok, it should open up a new window, the event log itself. You should see the following:

- The ACEEventLog is the special arse logger for Catalyst Control Centre.......... so, nVidia user wont have this option!
So, just click on the button to the left, and you should see the hellload of log and stuff.............. we want to clear em'. Easy, just right click and select the "clear all events". Refer to the pics below:

Just click "No" when it prompt you for confirmation........... unless you love the logs and want to save them :D

So, we clear all the log inside, now we want to disable the logging..........
Launch the log properties; right click and choose em'

It will launch the log properties, what you need to do next is to change the maximum log size to 64KB.............. thats the lowest possible and it wont log anything.............

It should look like this:

Apply the same setting to the application, system, and ACEEventLog. (security log is disabled by default).
So, what speed boost it make? Well, honestly, not much but still something. Do a b4 and after test, my 1M superPi, manage to cut 1seconds.....

And i found no problem in running all the application, and i update my windows thru windows update without hassle.................
So, guys, start applying this tweak and SuperPi, Prime95 or 3D mark it (too lazy to do, its 6am in the morning and i want to sleep already :D).

P/S : I ran on single channel memory, lend my ram to a friend after he had a faulty ram and need to finish the assigment........... so dont compare your Prime95 benchmark with me :D
