If I can get the insurance for it, I'll get it no worries :D Its like I always say, its not so much how much it costs or what it will cost to run or whatever.. If I like it, I'll just get it and worry about the costs later on :D

EDIT: Oh wow.. my 1000th post :D

nice, how are the insurance rates in the UK?

LOADS!!!

My 'old' car which was a Rover 220 Turbo Coupe would cost me nearly £1200 to insure it where I live at the moment, but 2.5 miles away with my ex girl friend (shudder) would cost me just under £700... Weird eh?

How does it work in the US or Canada?

Here in Malaysia, the 3rd party insurance wont cost you over RM100 (US$26.31). IT all depends on the Car total horsepower, price and the CC's :D

Dont work like that over here! Any modification you do to the car, the insurance goes up. The bit that gets me is that have a crap car (like what I have at the moment) you still get charged a wack of money and have nout to show for it if you never use the insurance.. Its a bit of a pisser to be honest..

Currently I pay $1,420/year. That's much lower that it was when I got my first car ($2,400/year).

I have had my own policy since I have been able to get on the road which was when I was 17.. Thats the age in the UK when you can start driving..

Over here we insure the car rather than the people.. Im unsure if its better or worse.. Im not sure how they come up with the insurance premiums...

here they insure the people, the younger the person the higher it is

They do that here but for the cost of my insurance along with the type of car I have, I wonder how on earth my insurance is so expensive! The car doesnt handle, has little power and I want to drive it into a wall. Thank god I hope to save up enough for that little picture above.. but hopefully get a driveable one :D Not remote controlled either!! ;)

I just hate my car as its nothing like what I used to have and boy do I miss it! Oh well, gives me the excuse to buy something faster, smarter and more expensive this time!! :D Cant wait.
