I have two 30gig drives a C with XP and other progs. and a D with all my backup data. I wanted to install Fedora Core on my C drive and I accidentally put it on my D. I formatted the entire thing and now it has Fedora on it. So I have a C with XP and progs. and a D with Fedora. My D data was about 26 gigs of the 30 and Fedora Core is only 500MB or so. Can I boot from XP C drive and in disk manager reformat the linux D drive to nfts or fat then use a file recovery program. I am using PC inspector file recovery now and it doesn't see anything on the linux drive from my PC. Maybe I could install fedora on my C, on a small partition then install a linux version of a data recovery program then it would see the D drive in linux format and allow me to recover my files originally stored via NFTS or what ever XP default is. Can anbody help?
