KX400-8XT problem

It's a shame to ask this, but ik got a present of a friend of mine.
It's a Albatron KX400-8XV Pro mainbord. The first user pushed the DDR Ram with the wrong side into the slave. Now it wont start any more. Only the CPU fan and the Red standby LED is working!
What can i do people?

I got another one! How much GHZ can this mainbord handle?
I wanna use an AMD Athlon XP.

If the system was powered on when the RAM was in the slot the wrong way I am afraid you are out of luck. With the RAM in wrong the various signals and voltages would have been on all the wrong pins and it undoubtidly fried a component somewhere.

Best case scenario only that RAM slot is physically damaged and not usable.

Did you recently buy this? If so you should start looking into RMAing it. Hopefully they'll help you out.
