Ok, so i went and bought that mobo for $89 CAN, and so far so good...it has adjustable memory timings, and and adjustable FSB up to 233mhz, as well as, oddly enough, multiplier from x12-x22...but it's a socket 478, and all intel CPU's are multi locked...but anyhow, it pretty good so far, i got my willamette celeron 1.7 @ 17x118mhz (2.0ghz @ 28°C idle) which is better than what i was expecting from a willamette...i might get a used p4 2.4 off ebay or somethin, later... but anyhow...I want to update the BIOS to the latest release, and when i downloaded the file, it's just a *.BIN file, what do i do with it??

Go back to the manufacturer's website and download their flash utility (for example, Abit calls their awdflash.exe). Create a bootable floppy disk with the flash utility and the *.bin file. Boot into DOS using the floppy and then run the flash utility at the DOS prompt. Follow the directions on-screen and you should be fine. One thing: make sure you read the directions to set the right flags on the flash utility (hopefully the manufacturer will have provided a batch file that will take care of all that for you... at least that's what Abit does).
