BIOS malfunction?

I recently downloaded the new msi live update and i flashed my bios with it but now my cpu loads at a xp1500 and it was a xp2700 and all the changes i make in the cmos reset when it reboots. I know a thing or two about hardware but I am really stumped. Maybe one of you might know whats goin on.

whats the front side bus set at in the bios? maybe restore the old bios if it worked man, can never argue with results

I cant keep any settings in the cmos to chage it, and yes i chaged the battery already on the board in case it was dead. I think the board is fried.

any settings at all? do the time and date stay? if they do, maybe it just doesnt like the settings you're trying to use

I'd try a different BIOS... Sounds like that one isnt being very friendly. /shrug

Just reflash with your old BIOS. Stick with what works, I say.
