View Full Version : Any other suggestions?
I am trying to take the backplate off of this K8N Neo2 and it seems the 70% Iso alcohol isn't helping, I used this to remove the backplate on the A8V Deluxe with no problems. Have any of you out there removed the backplate and if so what have you used besides alcohol. Thanks in advance.

What back plate? Doesn't it just come off?

The back plate shouldn't need alcohol to get off. There's no glue holding it in. Just punch it towards the inside of the case. It will only get out that way.
The backplate had some type of glue holding it on to the back of the MB. After letting a little more alcohol soak in I took a tiny flat head screw driver and popped that sucker off. Also found out after taking the chipset fan off there is barely any paste in between the fan and chipset!
