is there a motherboard w/ AGP and PCI-Express? cant seem to find one.
i'm upgrading to 939 pin, and want to keep my 9800 Pro for the while, but will probably go PCI-Express in the future, what board should i get?

Nope I've never seen it either...s939 and PCI-e go hand in hand, like a foot in a shoe...so you'll be needing a new board, AND a new video card, or you could go A64 s754 and use AGP...but most guys here would tell you to steer away fro 754 if upgradeability is on your mind...So if you want s939, you'll have to get a PCI-e video card....
You can do what i did....lol, i was running regular old PCI, and when i wanted to upgrade to AGP (motherboard at the time didn't have AGP)I got a new motherboard, and then I saved up enough money so that when i sold my old videocard i would have enough for a new one...lol, then i went a week with onboard video...but i stayed within my budget... :)
Edit: Lol, i missed the sig  , uhm you're already running s754...yeah you'll need a new video card if you switch to socket 939...

I seem to remember seeing an article about such a board. Unfortunatly the AGP slot was just attached to the system directly through the PCI bus.. and at PCI bus speeds. Since the AGP bus is twice as fast as the PCI bus at AGP 1x the PCI-Express/AGP board was effectivly using a 0.5x AGP slot.

this converter would most likely also give a ton of headache :)
although there are now the new Newark cpu's for the s754 i would still suggest going with the s939 solution since you get the dual channel and pci-e. just hold out till you can grab yourself a nice vid card that is pci-e. you won't regret it later.

yeah, i will definately be going 939 pin, and it looks like i'm gonna have to get a PCI-E vid card as well, any reccomendations w/out having to spend a fortune? i'll be selling my 9800 Pro as well, any idea how much i will get for that, i guess i'll go check ebay.
thanks guys

depends how good you are at selling used parts, i shuold have been a sales guy, i can sell most of my used parts for like twice what i paid, lol, well not that much, but i can usually get up to 80%~ of what i paid for them
if you are short on money and need something around $200 then definitely get the 6600GT. it's the best mid-range card out there right now for the price.
Whe I have the dosh to upgrade I will probably get a mobo using the Radeon 200 chipset which has onboard x300 graphics which are actual;ly better than the card Ive got now. ill then save up and get a 6600 or something similar :)
