Current PC is a 2.4B p4, not going to chuck it away, so i'm gonna keep it as a server and upgrade it a little. As per the sig, i was going for the DFI LP 875Pro, had an online retailer with one that has since sold out. For the life of me i can't find another anywhere, second choice was an abit ic7-max3, same problem though; not to be found anywhere. They are THE boards to have to push a 478 as far as possible, yet it's like stapling a brick wall trying to find them lol.

Any other suggestions as to some awesome 478 boards that will kick start the old dog? Better yet, anyone know of a UK supplier likely/certain to have either, pref. the DFI? Or even have one to sell? Constantly hindered with this motherboard not allowing dimm voltage modification at all. Help appreciated :)

go to www.dfi-street.com and see if angrygames or RBgone can help you get a DFI. they are the guys that run the site and are DFI employees. you might be able to get a manufacturer direct mobo for less than having found one retail.

The Asus P4C800 motherboards are pretty nice 875P pieces. If you can't find any of the others I would give one of those a shot, I can't imagine they would be too hard to find.

Thanks Omga, will get in contact when i'm ready to buy. Would be awesome if i could actually get one. Thanks westy; a friend of mine raves about those Asus boards. They are the only board he puts in his servers (too many to count). Where does the Abit rank? inbetween the two?

AFAIK the Abit IC7-MAX3 was one of the best Socket-478 boards available. A lot of the 3DMark kings on the top 20 used the IC7-MAX3 when the Northwood P4s were ruling the benchmarks. Asus doesn't seem to carry the same rep for OCing, but I've never had a problem getting some nice overclocks on Asus boards.
