Yea so i'm moving to miami, and well i went there/ am here to check it out. Pretty bored since i don't know anyone, so i started reading the news and stuff and i've thought of something (bored u know). if the legal age of consent or whatnot (to have sex with) is 21 in some states, and i'm 20 would that mean that i could "sleep" with say a 13 year old (bored, not for real don't freak out just an "example" so stop swearing at me) and it would be completely legal since we're both under age and don't know what we're doing sexually? i mean how does that work?
The legal age of consent here in AR is 16... If you're both under 21 and you have sex, and the age of consent is 21, then I believe the parents of whoever is younger can press charges. I think that's how it works at least...
Actually, after doing a google on it I found out that most states also have an age at which the consent law comes in to play. Like in Floridia, the age of consent 18... but 16, if the other party is under 24. However, if you're over 24 then it's only applicable if you're married to them? That's what they say at least, if that makes sense... lol.

Apparently different states have different categories too... Hetero, Homo les or homo gay... and you'd be suprized but the ages are different for all three in some states... In Canada, which of course isn't a state, it's 14 hetero, 14 homo lesbian, 18 homo gay... I wonder why that is... but in quite a few states, like AR, ANY homo sex is illegal...
In Iowa with parental consent the age is 14... but without it's 18. Once again, weird. Hawaii is just 14... That's just somewhat creepy...
yea just some things to ponder, i'm not sure about the charges i've never heard about that.

yea yea i know i know :p but i'm moving there because my dads paranoid, and on the salary that i can achieve on a part time job + school won't cut it. basically i couldn't go to school and i don't like long term, send you into debt loans. also i've always wanted to move to somwhere warm, except i was always thinking of cali, never expected miami :/
btw you don't have to tell me its warm, I KNOW ;) but meh, a little heat never heart anyone, and the way i see it it's going to help me loose a few extra pounds. and god damn have you seen the chicks? jeeeesus hotties left and right, and apparently the fact that i'm white (right now i have no idea what that has to do with anything) has sen't my market value through the roof!!!! :D
sure there are bad parts to it (paying for using the friking highway, and the bush part, and the messed up rules) but there are great things too, hot chicks, warm weather, nice people, don't have to worry about getting shot, robbed or stabbed oh and did i mention the babes? ;) right now all i need is a good job, but hopefully it will all work out.
a few things i do find weird about this place is its the king of gated communities (their everywhere) and the white man's paranoia i mean god, some people can be to carefull

miami's nice. used to live there myself. only thing is you get around to doing everything pretty fast then it's the same old same old. lot's of things have changed since i lived there (between 91 and 93).

i have 3 years to go and 2 years of masters then i'll be out. pretty sh1tty if you ask me considering i did 2 years of college due to university being expensive as hell in michigan if your not a citizen or whatever and now only about half of the credits are transfering over :( then again i'm not in any rush to get a real full time job and start putting up with 2 or more bosses.
oh and btw, i thought the legal age on consent in canada was 14.

ur way off, i mean i recently met a girl in canada who was 14 legal, and in gradeschool so thats worse unless your a 40 year old pedophile :p but yea i'm turning 21 in a few months and i'm not to sure what to think. i mean under 18 is bad on a certain level, but so many people i know in their 40's have a wife thats 10 years younger than them that i wonder, if i did that my future wife would be 10 or 11 at this time. i guess its a question of maturity.
truth be told, the youngest i would go is 16 but then again since i'm such a f*cked up guy i would pick a 30+ year old milf over a 16 year old girl any day of the week.
Haha... yeah, I've dated younger girls before, longterm and short term. It really does come down to maturity. At age 40 someone who is 10 years younger would be MUCH more mature, in theory, than someone 4 years younger than you at age 20.

Ask for their drivers license or learners permit, in BC it's 16 for both of those...

Not in all states... Here in AR you can get your learners at 15 and 6 months later get your hardship (or hard copy) lisence which allows you to drive from your house to shool or to work, and right back...

the reason i said you're taking a risk is because they have to be 16 to get a license, i mean you can't go up to a 14 year old and ask her for id, they usually don't have any id and i can't really think of any id they could have or would be allowed to carry by their parents.
Yeah, aside from the few that get their IDs early, or have IDs for school (some do in gradeschool) you probably won't be finding a 14 year old with an official ID.

The way it works here in SC is if one person is over 18, then that person gets in trouble no matter what happened. Under 18, it's up to the parents. Also, here, at least, you can go to the DMV and get an ID card. It looks just like a driver's license, except the bar at the top is green instead of red (license) or blue (learner's permit). There is also another ID that the DMV does issue, but the state does, that looks exactly like it, but the bar is black (concealed weapons permit). My brother has green red and black.
yea i rem reading a story about a 16 year old kid raping a 23 year old girl and then the court was like f*cked cus they din't know how to trial the girl since she was raped but it was by an underage kid

Yeah, the way the laws are written here in SC, it's legally impossible for a guy to get raped--period. That's pretty f'ed up. I actually know of a few cases where the chick raped the guy at a party and such. Yeah, the laws regarding this topic really suck in this state.
Ever heard of being "penciled"? I know OF a guy that it happened to... it's the type of thing that would happen if there was a prison break at a womans prison... /shiver
