View Full Version : nForce 7.13 drivers
Most of these seem to be WHQL but i'll let you know how they perform. Right now I am using the 7.12 drivers and they are working great! Haven't had a problem with Nero locking up like I did with the 7.11's. Oh, here is the ftp link: ftp://download.nvidia.com/Windows/nForce/7.13/
looking forward to what your findings are. i'm still using the 5.10's myself. for some reason the 6.37's didn't install the ethernet drivers for my mobo. had to install the drivers from the 5.10's so i just went back. don't like mixing em' up myself. if you wind up not liking em can you link me to the 7.12's?
*edit* looks like these series are for the nforce4 guys only  correct me if i'm wrong please.
LOL, this nForce drivers are meant for nForce 4 user............
Juan, are you sure you can run this driver flawlessly? i mean, check all the USB ports and stuff............
I'm using nForce 6.37 drivers........... had issues with the USB ports, its all solved when i reinstall the SMbus driver found in nForce 5.10..........
And yeah, extract the drivers to one folder and update it using the device manager - this way you'll avoid incompatibilities......... i've noticed if you run the installer, some of the drivers wont be updated......
HERE FOR THE nForce 6.37 Drivers (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=971)
P/S : Juan, do notify me about your rig.......... if it works well with the new drivers, will try it :D

ya that happened to me too, i just uninstalled them and reinstalled them and it worked
one of the fellas over at dfi-street let me know that i can use the 7.13's but i just have to use the agp driver from 5.10. gonna give it a go.

Thats why i've said that you better went and update the driver thru the device manager.......... the installer crapped it all...........

Test it and let we know................... you're sorta lab's guinea pig.......... test and let us know :D
From my experience, you can use all the updated driver, but you're gotta install back the SMBus driver from nForce 5.10 driver........
These drivers SUCK!!! I had to redo my system. The 7.12's worked really well and the 7.13 is for 32-bit Windows so I do not get it. It would get to the IDE SW driver and the system would crash. I did try system restore but the system would run for unstable, even without an OC. Again these drivers suck!
With all these new beta drivers meant for nForce 4 chipset, i'd say you can updates this drivers :
Ethernet driver
Audio Driver
And do not install :
SMBus driver
IDE Nvidia Driver
GART driver
This is because:
SMBus : nForce 4 uses different SMbus
IDE Driver : nForce 4 is equipped with all SATA-II stuff, so, dont want to push your luck
GART driver : There is simply no AGP on nForce 4, so, all the GART driver is for PCIe!
Holy CRAP, i browse around Guru3D forum, and there is a user called OMGA14! Is it coincidence or is it really you, Omga14?????????
Owh crap, it is you.......... location box in a paradise....

I tried the 7.13 drivers with mixed success. The only updates are for the audio codec, the ethernet controller, the network manager, the raid drivers and the sata driver. The rest are the same as the 6.53 ones.
I don't have a raid array or a SATA drive so I can't comment on them. The audio codecs seem fine and have caused no problems so far. The ethernet driver blue screened on DEP soon after every start, so I rolled it back. The network manager seems to work better.
I've used the nForce 6.53 "mixed" Driver from Guru3D - it worked flawlessly!
Compare it with the old nForce 5.10 driver using HDTach - to test the Hard Disk subsystem.............
They said newer thing are better, and it proved true :D
here's a screenshot of the HDtach

As you can see, the burst rate decrease, but the graph shown some consistency in the data transfer rate - and the average read MBps increased noticeably...........

And here's a screenshot of SiSoft SANDRA 2005 File System Benchmark.......... good improvement there, from 40MB to 51MB...........
So, just update the driver using Guru3D Modified nForce 6.53 Drivers (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1042)
Its compatible with nForce 1, 2, 3 :D
Tested by all those tester guinea pigs in Guru3D, so, its safe :D
had some issues with stability with the 7.13's (but i think it's cause i loaded the ide driver by mistake) so i'll be trying the one's you got mentioned above there Zefram. and yeah it's me in the box in paradise:)
OK, i might get the new 7.13 drivers, but has anyone got them and seen any improvment/difficulties???
well the 6.53's didnt work with my ethernet, it wont install drivers for it.....
i uninstalled theold drivers restart safe mode driver cleaner, install...no go, then i did it again
now ima redownload it...on another computer
So you're internetless Sean? (on your rig I mean...)
yeahthats why im offline now :P
im reinistalling v5.10 as we speak
yeah only 5.10's ethernet driver works ffor me.....
Dat sucks... wonder what you have that conflicts with the newer drivers...

Hey guys,
Question:
I have the 5.10 installed and it shows that I have the Ethernet, SMBus, & Display driver installed.
Should I have the GART driver showing up in the add/remove of Nvidia? Do I need the GART driver on an NF3 250gb using AGP vid card? I'm a little confused on this. I'll try the 6.56 remix pack after uninstalling the old stuff; doing it over the top gave continious BSOD upon bootup "IRQL"....
I may try the Nvidia SW IDE driver as well and bench it with MD5deep and HDtach. Right now getting 100/80 with two Sammys in RAID 0.
ZEFRAM - was the improvement with the SW IDE driver?
